Indian cricket fans missed R Ashwin during the first day's play of the fourth Test at Brisbane. The off-spinner has no replacement in the team when it comes to bowling, but that wasn't something that made fans miss him.
It was Ashwin's mankading that brought him in the discussion on Twitter. Twitterati remembered the off-spinner after a picture of Australia batsman Marnus Labuschagne leaving his crease before the ball is delivered started going viral on social media.
Labuschagne can be seen standing outside his crease while Navdeep Saini is yet to deliver the ball. He went on to score 108 and was dismissed by T Natarajan.
Ashwin had mankaded England's Jos Buttler during the Indian Premier League 2019 which instilled fear among the batsmen. In the last IPL, he had given Aaron Finch a warning.

No wonder non-strikers stay alert when he comes to bowl. The India off-spinner feels it's within the laws of the game and comes under sportsmanship.
Ashwin isn't part of the final Test against Australia because of injury. He had played a match-saving innings despite back pain in the Sydney Cricket Ground to draw the game.
