Former England captain Michael Vaughan and ex-Australia cricketer Mark Waugh had a conversation over Steve Smith's latest controversy. Smith was captured scuffing up India batsman Rishabh Pant's guard in the stump camera on Day 5 of the recently concluded third Test at SCG.

Vaughan shared his opinion on the incident and said he doesn't see it as cheating. But added that it does not look good as per the laws of cricket and he may get punished for it. He also shared the laws on his Instagram post.

Waugh responded to the tweet and said he doesn't think Smith would attempt such a thing to deliberately waste time in the modern game. Vaughan was a bit surprised with his response and felt the former Aussie cricketer couldn't get his tweet.

Vaughan explained his tweet and added that he would like to see Smith doing the same in Brisbane as he does it all the time. Australia captain Tim Paine had said after the match that it isn't something Smith did for the first time.
