Former England captain Michael Vaughan had a humble pie for breakfast after India came back strongly in the ongoing four-match Test series against Australia. India remains the favorite to win the Boxing Day Test match in MCG at the end of the third day's play on Monday, Dec 28.

Vaughan had predicted that India will be thrashed by Australia 4-0 in the Test series. He felt in the absence of Virat Kohli, Australia could hammer India very easily and win the series.

But the Englishman had to admit India has proved him wrong in the second Test. "Humble pie for Breakfast ... !!! Love the underdog proving people wrong ... also shows once again if Steve Smith struggles with the Bat this Aussie Batting team is very average."

Vaughan lauded Ajinkya Rahane's captaincy further in his tweet and added, "@ajinkyarahane88 captaincy has been magnificent btw... #OnOn #AUSvIND".

After India's loss in the first Test by 8 wickets, Vaughan had recalled his prediction. The visitors were bowled out on 36 runs in the second innings. "Told ya ... India are going to get hammered in the Test Series ... #AUSvIND #4-0," wrote Vaughan after India's defeat.
