ICC names Rashid Khan as the Men’s T20I Cricketer of the Decade

Rashid Khan made his T20I debut in 2015The International Cricket Council (ICC), on Monday (Dec 28), named Afghanistan leg-spinner Rashid Khan as its T20I cricketer of the decade. Despite making his international debut in 2015, Rashid has gone onto become one of the most successful bowlers in white-ball cricket.

His expertise in bowling quick leg-spin and googlies has earned him a lot of accolades over time and in 20-over cricket is where he has become the most effective. In a total of 48 T20 matches, he has 89 wickets to his name including the best of 5/3 at an economy of 6.12.

He has led Afghanistan to many victories over the likes of the West Indies, Ireland and other teams while giving the top tier teams a good fight. He remains one of the most sought-after players in T20 leagues around the world and has made a name for himself in the IPL, BBL, and CPL over time.
