India cricketer Prithvi Shaw got roasted on social media for his throw unawarely directed towards vice-captain Rohit Sharma during the first day of the fourth Test against Australia. Pacer Navdeep Saini had to walk off the field because of injury and Shaw was fielding in place of him.
The incident happened before the Tea break on the second delivery of the 53rd over when Marnus Labuschagne flicked Washington Sundar towards square leg for a single.
Rohit survived an injury scare after Shaw's poorly directed throw, after collecting the ball, nearly hit him on the body. He stopped the ball with his palm.
Twitterati joked about the incident and tweeted that Shaw was trying for a shortcut to the playing XI. India have already lost more than half of the players because of injury on this tour.
