After a dominating performance in the ODI series, India will now lock horns with West Indies in a five-match T20I series, beginning friday (29th July) in Tarouba, Trinidad.
The visitors fielded a second-string side in the ODIs but the senior players are back for the T20I series. India would be hoping to get their combination right and the series will act as a preparation for them ahead of the Asia Cup 2022 and T20 World Cup 2022.
With the first T20I around the corner, there are many speculations about what playing XI will India field. With KL Rahul, Virat Kohli, and Jasprit Bumrah not being there, it remains to be seen who will the Rohit Sharma-led side play.

Many are of the opinion that Rishabh Pant should open with Rohit with Iyer also in the side along with pacer Arshdeep Singh.
Wasim Jaffer also named his Indian top three for the first T20I. But the former Indian cricketer used a hilarious way to share. He posted a screenshot of the viral Instagram Live chat that was conducted by Pant a few days ago, which featured Rohit, Pant, Suryakumar Yadav, and MS Dhoni.
Jaffer posted the picture along with the caption: “My India top 3 for tomorrow. MS there for good luck #WIvIND,"
Notably, Pant opened in the T20I series against England. Although he looked promising at the top, he failed to convert his starts into big scores. It remains to be seen if India continues with him at the top or will they give the opportunity to Ishan Kishan.
