Former India and MI batter Abhishek Nayar has turned body guard for his dear friend and ex-India captain Rohit Sharma, as a huge crowd gathered to catch a glimpse of the cricketer near Shivaji Park on Friday.
In footage uploaded by fans on social media, Abhishek can be seen stepping out of a door with a frantic expression on his face, pleading with the crowd to ensure that Rohit is not pushed. Crowds go nuts seeing their favorite cricketer, and many of them try to engage with him.
‘Hum sab fan hai lekin usko lagna nahi chahiye (we are all fans but he shouldn’t get hurt at all)’, Nayar can be heard saying as he comes out of an establishment first, followed by security and Rohit Sharma. Rohit then made his way to his vehicle.

Rohit reportedly practiced for nearly two hours with his old Mumbai colleague Nayar at Shivaji Park in preparation for this month's tour of Australia.
Rohit, who was recently replaced as India's captain in ODIs by Shubman Gill, will return to action in a three-match series commencing October 19 in Perth.
