West Indies all-rounder Romario Shepherd created a brilliant record in the ongoing Caribbean Premier League (CPL 2025) tournament. Playing for the Guyana Amazon Warriors against the St. Lucia Kings, Shepherd scored an eye-watering 22 runs off one legal ball.
Shepherd batted at no. 7; Shepherd made 73* in 34 balls with five sixes and seven fours, powering his team to 202/6 in 20 overs. Ben McDermott made 30, and Iftikhar Ahmed made 33 runs as well.
However, Shepherd hammered Oshane Thomas to all parts of the Daren Sammy National Cricket Stadium in St. Lucia in the 15th over of the Guyana Amazon Warriors innings.
Oshane Thomas had a horror outing, with the third ball of the 15th over going for a no-ball and subsequently being called wide. Then, Thomas bowled another no-ball while Shepherd hit a six. Shepherd received another free hit since it was a no-ball and punished it with another six.
To compound the situation, that ball was also a no-ball, with Shepherd hitting another six off the next legal delivery. The scoring sequence read 1nb, 1w, 7nb, 7nb, 6, showing that 22 runs were scored from a single legal delivery.

However, Guyana was unable to defend 202 runs, as Ackeem August made 73 in 35 balls, Tim Seifert made 37, and Tim David made 25 in 10, as the St. Lucia Kings won the match by four wickets with 11 balls to spare.
