To commemorate the first anniversary of their historic 2024 T20 World Cup victory, Team India took a delightful break from preparing for Test matches. To commemorate the completion of India's ten-year quest for an ICC trophy, the BCCI posted a touching video of the current Test team cutting a cake.
As they relived memories of the historic night in the Caribbean, players from that undefeated World Cup team, including Rishabh Pant, Arshdeep Singh, Jasprit Bumrah, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Kuldeep Yadav, and Ravindra Jadeja, were beaming.
His teammates invited Bumrah, who had won Player of the Series at the time, to cut the cake and perform the honors.
In a playful moment, both Pant and Bumrah offered a piece to Jadeja, teasing him with “Happy retirement,” to which Jadeja quickly quipped, “Ek hi format se liya h bas,” reminding everyone he had only stepped away from T20Is.
