Ahead of the IPL 2025 season, a TV advertisement featuring three of India's most celebrated cricket captains – Kapil Dev, MS Dhoni, and Rohit Sharma – has gone viral on social media.
Dhoni and Rohit are all set to take part in the 18th edition of IPL, and will square off on Sunday (March 23) as Chennai Super Kings (CSK) face Mumbai Indians (MI) at the Chepauk.
Meanwhile, Dhoni and Rohit joined hands with Kapil over a special advertisement. In the clip, Dhoni and Kapil can be seen sitting together in a panel to pick some talented individuals when Rohit asked them, "selfie chahiye ya autograph?"
For a moment, Dhoni and Kapil were taken aback to hear this question. However, Rohit was quick to apologise to the two for his light-hearted banter.

Rohit Sharma led India to the Champions Trophy triumph in Dubai earlier this month. This marked his second ICC title as captain, following India's T20 World Cup win in the Americas last year.
MS Dhoni is widely regarded as one of the finest captains produced by India. Dhoni is the only skipper in the history of cricket to have won all three ICC white-ball trophies – 2007 World T20, 2011 Cricket World Cup and 2013 Champions Trophy.
On the other hand, Kapil Dev was the pioneer as he led India to their maiden World Cup triumph in 1983 and inspired a generation of youngsters to pursue career in cricket.
