
Sachin Tendulkar, Rohit Sharma, Ajinkya Rahane, Sunil Gavaskar, and several other prominent Mumbai cricketers along with other dignitaries attended the MCA function to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the iconic Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
The historic stadium is commemorating its 50th anniversary. S. K. Wankhede, a politician and the secretary of the Mumbai Cricket Association, started building in 1974. It was completed in just 13 months and inaugurated in time to host the last bilateral test of the 1975 series between India and the West Indies.
Multiple personalities were interviewed on the stage with Sachin Tendulkar being the most prominent one. During the interview, The host asked Tendulkar whether he had eaten vadapav in the Mumbai dressing room.
As the crowd laughed, Tendulkar said: “I am the only one to eat vadapav. There are many people sitting in front of me who enjoy vada pav.”
He then asked whether other cricketers loved vada pav or not and the crowd went nuts with cheers as Rohit Sharma was shown on the camera, at the mention of vada pav.
