India ODI and Test captain Rohit Sharma and former T20I captain Hardik Pandya were seen training together in Mumbai. Hardik Pandya has been named in the Indian squad for the five-T20I series against England.
On the other hand, Rohit Sharma will likely captain India in the England ODI series and the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 that follows next month. Hardik is also set to be picked in the India ODI squad, and in a viral video on social media, both were seen practicing together.
In a video that has become popular on the internet, 37-year-old Rohit is seen batting under lights at Reliance Corporate Park in Navi Mumbai, as Hardik rolls his arms.
Rohit, who will lead India in the Champions Trophy 2025, trained alongside Mumbai's Ranji team at Wankhede Stadium on Tuesday, January 14. However, it is unknown whether he will play for the Ajinkya Rahane-led team in their forthcoming Ranji Trophy 2024-25 Elite Group A match against Jammu and Kashmir.
Hardik, on the other hand, is all set to join India’s T20I team in Kolkata this weekend to prepare for the upcoming five-match T20I series. The first T20I between India and England is scheduled to take place at Eden Gardens in Kolkata on January 22.
