India A players including bowler Tanush Kotian were left disheartened after the umpire refused to pay heed to their appeal of caught against Australia A batter Marcus Harris in the ongoing second 4-day match. This encounter is being played at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG).

The incident occurred as Harris, a Border-Gavaskar Trophy hopeful, was batting on 48 against off-spinner Tanush Kotian. Right-arm off-spinner Kotian came around the wicket to bowl to Harris, delivering a beautiful off-break that slid into the left-hander before quickly spinning away.

The ball eventually landed in the fielder's hands at first slip, but it was unclear if it came from Harris' bat or his thigh protection. India A was visibly upset with the umpire's decision to make no decision, feeling the ball had nicked Harris' bat.
