Former India head coach Rahul Dravid’s son Samit gave a glimpse of his exceptional batting talent while playing a Maharaja Trophy T20 2024 match at the Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru on Friday (August 16).

Representing Mysuru Warriors, Samit Dravid came out to bat at No. 4 and slammed 33 off 24 balls against Gulbarga Mystics. His knock was studded with four boundaries and one maximum.

Two shots that stood out from his innings were the on-drive and lofted extra cover drive, which also left the commentators in awe.

The 18-year-old hit a gorgeous on-drive while facing a fast bowler to fetch four runs and then smashed a spinner for an equally beautiful six over extra cover to earn six runs.

A video of Samit’s classy knock went viral on social media, leaving the fans impressed as well.

Here’s the clip:

Coming to the match, Mysuru Warriors racked up a solid total of 196/8 on the board after being asked to bat first. Skipper Karun Nair was the top scorer with 66 off 35 balls while J Suchith returned with a vital cameo of 13-ball 40.

However, Mysuru Warriors ended up on the losing side as Gulbarga Mystics rode on R Smaran’s unbeaten century (104* off 60 balls) to overhaul the target on the final delivery with three wickets in hand.
