August 18, 2024 marked the 16th anniversary of Virat Kohli’s illustrious cricketing career. India’s star batter had made his international debut in an ODI match against Sri Lanka at Dambulla in 2008.

Kohli has come a long way since then, establishing himself as one of the greatest cricketers of the modern era.

On the special occasion, Kohli featured in an exclusive 'Rapid Fire' interview with Star Sports, where he gave answer to 16 quick questions.

The 35-year-old picked Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) over Mumbai Indians (MI) as his preferred IPL opponent.

When asked to choose his favourite cricketer between MS Dhoni and AB de Villiers, Kohli responded with a cheeky smile as he said, "both."

Virat Kohli’s achievement as a cricketer is surreal, to say the least. He has taken Indian cricket to greater heights with his batting and captaincy over the years.

Kohli has represented India in 113 Tests, 295 ODIs and 125 T20Is so far, amassing close to 27,000 international runs with 80 centuries. He led India in 213 matches across formats and won 135 of them. His success rate as Indian captain is one of the best in the history of cricket.

While Kohli retired from the shortest format after India’s T20 World Cup 2024 triumph in June, he continues to feature in ODIs and Tests.
