Former West Indies skipper Kieron Pollard launched a brutal assault on Afghanistan star Rashid Khan in The Hundred on Saturday (August 10), smashing the leg-spinner for five successive sixes.
Chasing 127 to win, the Southern Brave needed 49 off 20 balls against the Trent Rockets when Pollard went on a six hitting spree against Rashid.
Pollard saw a delivery on middle stump first up and smoked it over cow corner straight into the stands. The second and third maximums were belted over long off, while he backed away and gave himself room to send the ball high over midwicket to earn his fourth six.
Rashid’s fifth and final delivery was a full one and Pollard dispatched it over long-off to etch his name in the history books.

Kieron Pollard’s carnage turned the game upside down as the equation became rather easier for Southern Brave - 19 required off the last 15 balls of the innings.
Pollard slammed two more boundaries in the next set of five deliveries against John Turner before he was run out by Calvin Harrison on 45 off 23 balls.
In the end, Chris Jorgan hit a four off the penultimate ball of the innings to take Southern Brave over the finishing line.
