WATCH- Rohit Sharma and Shreyas Iyer chuckle after fan says "Sir abhi Champions Trophy jeetna hai bas" at Mumbai airport

The ICC Champions Trophy 2025 is set to be played in Pakistan.

Fan told Shreyas Iyer and Rohit Sharma that Champions Trophy win is important | XTeam India didn’t have a great ending to their tour of Sri Lanka as they lost the ODI series 2-0. This was the first time since 1997 that India lost an ODI series to Sri Lanka and it wasn’t the best start to Gautam Gambhir’s tenure as India head coach, despite winning the T20I series before.

This 3-match ODI series was the last one for India this year and they have only three more ODIs left before the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 tournament. India will face England at home in three ODIs in February and the Champions Trophy begins just a couple of weeks after in Pakistan.

Rohit Sharma and Shreyas Iyer met a fan at Mumbai airport who told them that winning the next ICC trophy is more important. This happened when Rohit and Iyer were traveling to Sri Lanka for the ODI series.

Notably, the Men in Blue won the Champions Trophy in 2013 when MS Dhoni's side defeated England in the final. India lost the last Champions Trophy final to arch-rivals Pakistan in 2017.

Sir abhi Champions Trophy jeetna hai bas Champions Trophy,” a fan told Shreyas Iyer, who chuckled along with Rohit Sharma.

Sri Lanka won’t be part of the 2025 Champions Trophy, which is set to be hosted by Pakistan in February-March next year.

The next assignment for the Indian team will be a two-Test and three-T20I series against Bangladesh. It will be followed by a three-match Test series against New Zealand at home. India will then travel to Australia for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
