Indian team entered Mumbai with a grand welcome set for them. After meeting PM Narendra Modi in the morning in Delhi and having breakfast with him, the entire contingent flew to Mumbai for a special ceremony at the Wankhede Stadium.
The Indian team was then ferried from the Mumbai airport to Marine Drive and from there to the Wankhede Stadium, the Men in Blue were taken on an open bus parade with a sea of Indian team supporters cheering them on.
Fans raised slogans like 'Mumbaicha Raja Rohit Sharma’ (Mumbai's king Rohit Sharma) and 'Ekach Vada Surya Dada' (Only one Suryakumar Yadav).
The first thing the Indian players did was take a lap of honor around the stadium and they were seen dancing their hearts out to the tune of ‘Chak de India’, with the fans in the stadium singing as well.
