MS Dhoni cast his vote in the sixth phase of Lok Sabha Election 2024 | ANI/ScreengrabFormer India skipper MS Dhoni on Saturday (May 25) was spotted at a polling station in Ranchi, where he was present to cast his vote during the sixth phase of the Lok Sabha Election 2024.

As Dhoni arrived at the polling station, he was mobbed the fans and mediapersons. Many of them started capturing the moment in their phones and cameras.

Dhoni was recently seen in action in the 2024 edition of Indian Premier League (IPL) for Chennai Super Kings (CSK), who failed to make it to the playoffs after losing to RCB in the last league stage match.

Speculation over MS Dhoni's retirement is rife ever since CSK's elimination from the cash-rich league. While the 42-year-old has kept his cards close to heart, many experts believe that the veteran wicketkeeper has already played his last IPL game.

Meanwhile, CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan has said that they have always respected the decisions taken by Dhoni and the decision on his future in the franchise has been left to him, which they expect will come at an appropriate time.

“I do not know. It is a question only MS (Dhoni) can answer. We have always respected the decisions taken by MS. We have left it to him and as all of you know he has always taken his decisions and announced them at the appropriate time,” said Viswanathan in a video posted by CSK on YouTube.

“We do expect that we will get a decision as and when he decides. But we are very hopeful he'll be available for CSK next year. That is the view and expectation of the fans and mine,” he added.
