The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has begun the search for the next coach of the senior men's cricket squad.

Current India head coach Rahul Dravid and his support staff signed an extension in November 2023, following the end of the ODI World Cup. However, his current contract is only good until the end of June 2024.

While BCCI secretary Jay Shah has indicated that Dravid can re-apply for the position, it has been claimed that the former India captain is not interested in continuing as India's head coach and hence is unlikely to enter the head coach contest again.

"The BCCI on Monday invited applications for the position of Head Coach of the Senior Men's Team. Applications for the position should be submitted by 6 PM IST on May 27, 2024, in the link here. The selection process will include a thorough review of applications, followed by personal interviews and assessments of shortlisted candidates. Job Description for the said position is provided here," the BCCI said in a statement on Monday.

However, this advertisement has led to some hilarious results as it is open for the public to apply for the role. This has led cricket fans across the country to fill up the form and share it on social media.
