Pakistan's T20I captain Shaheen Afridi and former fast bowler Mohammad Amir recently had a great interview with the former captain and veteran all-rounder Shoaib Malik during the ILT20 2024.
During the question-and-answer session, Malik asked the duo to pick between Babar Azam's and Virat Kohli's cover drives. In a viral video, Amir, known for his admiration of Kohli, chose the Indian batting superstar, while Shaheen stayed loyal to his teammate and picked Babar's cover drive.
Later, Amir's shocked reaction to Shaheen's choice quickly went viral on social media.
Meanwhile, the former Pakistan captain further went on to ask Shaheen and Amir whether they would want to play under the captaincy of Kohli or Babar.
Well, yet again, Amir was quick to name Kohli, and Afridi went to choose Babar as he played under him for Pakistan. However, the former pacer said that he didn’t play under both Babar and Kohli, but still, he would like to play under the Indian star’s captaincy.
This entertaining interaction was shared by the ILT20 League franchise, Desert Vipers, on their social media handles, where the trio can be having a lot of fun during the interview.
Notably, Amir and Shaheen played a few matches together for the Desert Vipers in the recent ILT20 2024 and then returned to Pakistan for the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2024.
Shaheen is the captain of Lahore Qalandars, while Amir is part of the Quetta Gladiators in the PSL 2024.
