The Indian U19 team is all set to face Australia in the final of the ongoing Youth World Cup 2024. The summit clash will happen at the Sahara Park Willowmoore Cricket Stadium in Benoni on Sunday, February 11.
India reached the final by winning all their matches in the tournament, including the group and knockout stages. Both Australia and India are unbeaten in the tournament. While India has won all their matches, the Aussies saw their Super Six match against West Indies washed out due to rain.
The Indian U19 cricket team's route to the 2024 World Cup final was marked by continuous, overwhelming performances. They began with victories over Bangladesh and Ireland before thrashing the United States to finish first in their group.
The team maintained their unbeaten record in the Super Sixes, defeating New Zealand and Nepal. They then defeated hosts South Africa by two wickets in the semi-finals. Reeling at 55 for 4, skipper Uday Saharan and Sachin Dhas guided the team to a historic triumph, chasing 245.
