West Indies all-rounder Kevin Sinclair made his Test debut more special as after scoring a fifty in his maiden innings, he also picked his maiden Test wicket. He achieved this in the ongoing second Test against Australia being played in Brisbane.
Sinclair had earlier made 50 runs as Joshua Da Silva (79) and Kevam Hodge (71), with help from lower order, pushed West Indies total to 311 in the first innings.
Then the West Indies bowlers had Australia in huge trouble at 24/4 and 54/5 before Usman Khawaja (75), Alex Carey (65), and captain Pat Cummins (64*) took Australia’s total to 289/9 declared.
Khawaja, who recently won the ICC Test Cricketer of the Year award for 2023, was the standout batter for the hosts, with his 131-ball 75-run knock with 10 fours.

However, his innings came to an end at the hands of Kevin Sinclair, who had Khawaja caught in slips by Alick Athanaze. After claiming his maiden Test wicket, Sinclair did his trademark hand flip into a back flip celebration.
The commentators on air were waiting for him to do so and they rated his celebration a ten out of ten!
