Brothers Irfan and Yusuf Pathan were recently seen in action during the ‘One World One Family’ charity match on the outskirts of Bengaluru. Irfan Pathan played for Sachin Tendulkar’s One World team, while Yusuf turned out for Yuvraj Singh’s One Family team.
Batting first in the charity match, Yuvraj's team scored 180 runs at the loss of 6 wickets. Sachin's team One World won the match by scoring 184 runs losing 6 wickets in 19.5 overs.
The ending saw Irfan Pathan smoking Yusuf Pathan for a huge six to finish the match.
Chasing the target, captain Sachin Tendulkar and Naman Ojha started the innings for One World. There was a partnership of 31 runs on 23 balls between Sachin and Naman for the first wicket. Naman Ojha played an inning of 25 runs in 18 balls.
For the second wicket, Alviro Pietersen made a partnership of 42 runs on 22 balls with Sachin. Sachin became Muralitharan's victim after scoring 27 runs in 16 balls.
Petersen played a sublime knock of 74 runs, before falling to Chaminda Vaas. Vaas took two wickets in the 19th over to bring the match back to life.
But then Irfan and Yusuf Pathan faced each other in the 20th match and Irfan finished the game with a six.
Irfan Pathan credited Yusuf Pathan for teaching him to hit big sixes while sharing the video of the last ball. “Ye bhi to tune hi sikhaya @iamyusufpathan #brotherhood.”
To this, Yusuf Pathan replied: “I feel proud when you hit sixes. that’s the only the only credit I take” and Irfan replied: “You should.”
