The Indian cricket team recorded some memorable triumphs, winning the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, Asian Games, and various bilateral competitions. However, Team India suffered heartbreaking defeats in the WTC final and then in the ICC World Cup 2023 final.
On the other hand, India Women reached the semifinals of the T20 World Cup, and the U19 team clinched victory in the T20 World Cup. The Indian women’s cricket team led by Harmanpreet Kaur won the gold medals at the Asian Games, as well as Test matches against England and Australia.

Now, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has summarized both men’s and women’s teams' journeys in 2023 through a recap video shared on social media, highlighting the collective achievements and challenges faced by the teams.
Notably, the Rohit Sharma-led Indian cricket team is currently on a South Africa tour, where they are taking on the hosts in a two-match Test series. The Proteas already won the first by an innings and 32 runs, and they will next lock horns in the second and final Test in Cape Town on January 3.
On the other hand, the Indian women’s cricket team is currently hosting Australia Women in a three-match ODI and T20I series. Australia already won the series with their wins in the first two ODIs, with the final ODI set to be played on January 2 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
