KL Rahul, who will captain the Indian team in the ODIs on the tour of South Africa, has intensified his preparation. Indian team is currently engaged in a 3-match T20Is series, the first of which was washed out in Durban.
Rahul, who had an excellent Asia Cup 2023 and then a wonderful ICC World Cup 2023, is also named in the Indian squad for the two-Test series as well. He has been listed as a wicketkeeper in the squad along with Ishan Kishan.
Focusing on batting and running, KL Rahul looked determined and charged up for the all-important tour of South Africa.
Rahul shared a video of him and pacer Jasprit Bumrah prepping for the South Africa tour on his Instagram. KL Rahul even threw up, as seen in the video after the intense running sessions. The wicketkeeper-batter looked fluent and played his shots during the batting training session.
The video also had a funny moment as KL Rahul predicted to the cameraperson that Jasprit Bumrah would talk about batters having it easy during training sessions in hot and humid conditions. Minutes later, Bumrah, as predicted by Rahul, talked up the effort that the fast bowlers have to put in during high-intensity training sessions.
"I can guarantee you Bumrah is going to tell how hard a fast bowler's life is,” Rahul said.
"Your job is easier to bat, hide behind a bat," Bumrah was heard telling Rahul.
"What did I tell you? Did I not call it?" Rahul bragged after his prediction came true.
