Former Team India head coach Ravi Shastri is a cricket legend who is not only known for his skills on the field but also for his iconic commentary. Shastri delivered famous and memorable lines like "Dhoni finishes off in style!" during the 2011 ODI World Cup final.
From being one of India's finest all-rounders to a successful broadcasting career, the Indian legend is a pure gem in the game of cricket.
Shastri is now one of the most sought-after voices in world cricket. Currently, he is entertaining fans as part of the Fox Sports commentary team for the ongoing Big Bash League (BBL 13) 2023–24 in Australia.

In a clip shared by the BBL's official X handle, Shastri got a warm welcome from his co-commentator Mark Howard who addressed him as ‘one of the biggest broadcast names on the planet’.
On the other hand, Aaron Finch who was also present in the commentary box called him the ‘king of commentary’ and ‘voice of cricket’. Finch said: “He (Shastri) is the king of commentary and voice of cricket for such a long time.”

Notably, Ravi Shastri played 80 Tests and 150 ODIs for India between 1981 and 1992. Shastri won the ODI World Cup in 1983 and the World Championship of Cricket in 1985, where he also won the Champions of the Champions award for his brilliant all-round performance.
After retirement, Shastri worked as Team India’s manager, team director, and head coach, apart from heavily involving himself in the commentary.
