India batter Prithvi Shaw posted a video of himself batting in indoor nets at the NCA in Bengaluru as he prepares for the IPL 2024.
Notably, in September, Shaw had sustained a knee injury that has kept him out of some marquee domestic tournaments like the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy as well as the Vijay Hazare Trophy. He was playing in the English county cricket at that time and had struck a double ton and a ton for Northamptonshire in the One-Day Cup.
Shaw was recently retained by Delhi Capitals (DC) for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 season, despite having scored just 106 runs from eight matches in IPL 2023.
Shaw shared a story on his Instagram handle on Thursday, with the caption: “What a feeling after three months”.
Shaw can be seen practicing some shots in the indoor facility in NCA, however, he doesn’t look fit at all. Shaw has visibly put on some weight and as soon as the video was posted on social media, fans resorted to trolling the Mumbai cricketer.
On the other hand, some of the fans were also concerned for the young cricketer given that he is only 24-years old.
