WATCH: Harshit Rana plucks a stunner out of thin air to dismiss Qasim Akram during India A vs Pakistan A clash

Harshit Rana left everyone stunned with his remarkable catch.

Harshit Rana | FanCode/ScreengrabIndia ‘A’ and Pakistan ‘A’ are currently facing each other in Match 12 of the ACC Men’s Emerging Teams Asia Cup 2023 at Premadasa Stadium, Colombo.

Pakistan ‘A’ skipper Mohammad Haris won the toss and opted to bat first in a high-voltage clash. However, the decision turned out to be a wrong one as India ‘A’ reduced them to 9/2, dismissing Saim Ayuba and Omair Yousuf for a duck.

The Boys in Green kept losing wickets at regular intervals and half of their side was back in the hunt for 78. Thanks to the contribution of lower-order batters like Qasim Akram (48), Mubasir Khan (28) and Mehran Mumtaz (25*), Pakistan ‘A’ managed to reach 205 before getting bowled out in 48 overs.

For India ‘A’, Rajvardhan Hangargekar starred with the ball, returning with a five-wicket haul. Manav Suthar also picked three wickets for 36 while Riyan Parag and Nishant Sindhu took one scalp each.

While the India ‘A’ bowlers did an excellent job, they were equally supported by the fielders. One great piece of fielding was witnessed when Harshit Rana plucked a stunner out of thin air to get rid of Qasim Akram.

During the 46th over of Pakistan A’s innings, Hangargekar bowled a deceptive delivery that tempted Qasim into going for a big shot. Harshit, who was positioned at short third man, jumped in the air and stretched his left hand as high as possible to grab the ball with one hand.
