India batter Ruturaj Gaikwad has carried on his brilliant IPL form into the ongoing Maharashtra Premier League (MPL) season.
Playing for Puneri Bappa, the classy right-hander put on a show with the bat against Kolhapur Tuskers on Thursday (June 15).
Chasing a target of 145, Gaikwad slammed 27-ball 64 as Puneri Bappa got over the finishing line with eight wickets in hand and 29 balls to spare. His knock was studded with five stunning sixes and as many fours.

Earlier this month, Ruturaj Gaikwad tied the marriage knot with Utkarsha Pawar, who is also a cricketer from Maharashtra and has represented the state in domestic cricket.
Gaikwad, 26, missed the recently held World Test Championship final against Australia due to his wedding. He was initially picked in the Indian squad as a standby player but Yashasvi Jaiswal replaced him later.
Gaikwad played an instrumental role in CSK’s IPL 2023 triumph last month. He formed a formidable opening partnership with Devon Conway and finished the season with 590 runs at an average of 42.14 and a strike rate of 147.50.
