India keeper-batter Rishabh Pant has kept his fans and followers updated about his journey of rehab and recovery from the almost-fatal car accident he was involved in December 2022.

Last year, while driving from Delhi to Roorkee to surprise his mother, Rishabh Pant was involved in a terrible automobile accident. Despite this, the Indian wicketkeeper batter is making a full recovery.

On December 30 of last year, Pant's car collided with a divider on the interstate leading to Uttarakhand and even took fire. Before the automobile caught fire, he was saved by onlookers after breaking the window's glass to crawl out of the crash.

He was then right away taken to a nearby hospital in Dehradun, where he underwent plastic surgery to conceal his scars and receive treatment for his burns.

After that, the BCCI decided to fly him to Mumbai's Kokilaben Hospital, where he underwent surgery to correct some recent and prior injuries to his right knee.

“Missing playing cricket,” admits Rishabh Pant after being away from action for 6 months due to car accident

After being released from the hospital, he has since healed there. After making significant progress, he moved to the NCA to continue working on his fitness under the direction of BCCI physicians.

He was seen during the IPL 2023 at the Arun Jaitley stadium cheering for the Delhi Capitals (DC) and was using a crutch to walk around. But sometime back, Rishabh Pant shared a video on his Instagram of walking without a crutch.

And now in a further positively encouraging update about his recovery, Rishabh Pant shared a video of himself climbing up the stairs at the NCA.

The youngster shared a heartfelt caption, praising himself for the speedy recovery and he admitted that doing simple things such as climbing the stairs can also be difficult.

Not bad yaar Rishabh. Simple things can be difficult sometimes," read the caption of the post.
