Indian team head coach Rahul Dravid is having a gala time vacationing in the Maldives away from the ongoing IPL 2023 tournament. The former India captain is on a much-needed break and he is spending his time with his family, exploring the waters there.
This is a well-deserved opportunity for Dravid to unwind as he and his team will assemble at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) on Tuesday to start preparations for the World Test Championship 2023 final in June.
India will meet Australia at the Oval from June 7-11 for their second consecutive appearance in a World Test Championship final.
Dravid will have his hands full as the Indian team will be missing key players like Jasprit Bumrah, who is rehabbing from his back surgery, and the duo of Rishabh Pant and Shreyas Iyer, who have been ruled out due to their respective injuries.
Coming to the coach’s vacation, known VJ and anchor Nikhil Chinapa shared photos and videos of Rahul Dravid and his family enjoying the water sports in the Maldives.
“Incredible visibility underwater last week on our #Maldives dive trip with Rahul Dravid and my brother’s Bangalore-based SCUBA diving company #FleetfootAdventures,” Nikhil Chinapa tweeted.
"THE WALL gets submerged! Was fun diving with Rahul Dravid and his family. His attention to detail, keenness to understand the 'why' and 'how' of things being done will one day make him as good a diver as a cricketer which he undoubtedly is," caption was put on an Instagram post.
