The T20 World Cup 2022 winning England team visited 10 Downing Street to meet with UK PM Rishi Sunak. England had beaten Pakistan in the final at the MCG by five wickets. This was the second time England won the T20 World Cup.
Ben Stokes slammed an unbeaten fifty to take the team home after Sam Curran's brilliance with the ball had restricted Pakistan to a below-par total of 137 runs. England is the first team ever to hold the 50-over World Cup and the T20 World Cup titles together.
The team was felicitated at 10 Downing Street and PM Rishi Sunak even faced a few deliveries from Player of the final and tournament, Sam Curran and Chris Jordan with surprising results.
