“Stay away from WIPL,” Megan Schutt faces backlash on Twitter after liking a post labelling Indian players as 'horrible person'

Schutt liked a tweet which shows Indian players attempting to run out batters at non-striker's end.

For her antics, Deepti received support from many while quite a few slammed her citing the ‘Spirit of Cricket’ argument.

A similar incident recently happened in a match between the Indian Women U-19 and South African Women U-19 cricket teams. On this occasion, Indian bowler Mannat Kashyap hogged the headlines by running out South Africa batter Jenna Evans at the non-striker's end when the latter was backing up too far.

This time around, however, India skipper Shafali Verma decided to withdraw the appeal and allowed Evans to return to the crease.

The incident has once again triggered the ‘Spirit of Cricket’ debate despite it being a legal mode of dismissal as per the laws of the game.

Amid the outrage, Indian fans took notice of Australian women’s cricketer Megan Schutt liking a distasteful tweet, which shows Indian players attempting to run out batters at the non-striker's end and being labelled as 'horrible person.'

With her social media activity, Schutt has drawn a lot of criticism, with the Indian cricket fans also asking her to stay away from the Women’s IPL, slated to be held next year.
