PAK v ENG 2022: WATCH- Ben Stokes’ bat goes flying trying to hit a six; Twitterverse reacts hilariously

England require 55 more runs to win the third Test and whitewash Pakistan for the 1st time in their home.

Ben Stokes' bat goes flying | GettyEngland kind of made a mockery of the target of 167 set by Pakistan on day 3 of the third Test of the ongoing three-match Test series being played in Karachi. Pakistan bowlers were hammered to parts of the National Stadium by England batters despite fading lights.

Earlier, resuming on 21/0 in their second innings, Pakistan showed little fight as Babar Azam and Saud Shakeel made half-centuries while Azhar Ali fell for a duck in his final Test innings for Pakistan.

However, the day belonged to young leggie Rehan Ahmed, who finished with figures of 5/48, becoming the youngest bowler in Test cricket to take a fifer in his debut match at 18 years and 128 days.

Pakistan folded for 216 runs and set England 167 runs to win with 19 overs left on day three. And the England openers Ben Duckett and Zak Crawley came out with the intent of winning the match by the end of the day’s play itself.

Crawley made 41 in 41 balls, while Duckett remained unbeaten on 50 in just 38 balls. Rehan Ahmed sent at no.3 made 10 in 8 balls and Ben Stokes also made 10* in 15 balls. The third day ended with England at 112/2 and needing 55 runs more to win in 2 days’ time.

Funnily in the 15th over of the innings, bowled by Nauman Ali, Stokes went to swat a delivery from him and in the process lost the grip of his bat, which went flying toward the square-leg umpire.
