Deepti Sharma's dismissal of Charlotte Dean was the biggest talking point from the ODI series between India and England last month.

In the series-deciding third ODI, the Indian all-rounder ran out Dean for backing up too far at the non-striker's end when England were on 153/9 while chasing the target of 170.

For the past few weeks, the 'spirit of cricket' debate is doing the rounds in the cricketing world with people lauding and criticizing Deepti for her antics.

After that incident, India’s Deepak Chahar and Australia’s Mitchell Starc also got an opportunity to run out batters at the non-striker’s end but they chose not to do it.

Sharing his two cents on this matter, Rajasthan Royals (RR) all-rounder Riyan Parag on Saturday (October 16) triggered a debate among the fans after saying that he would run out a non-striker during IPL 2023.

"Im going to mankad/run out sm1 next year and it’s gonna create a fun twitter debate," Riyan wrote on Twitter.

In reply, a fan tried to troll Riyan Parag by stating how he would run out a non-striker if he doesn't get a chance to play.

Riyan then won the internet with his response as he urged the Twitter user for some positivity.

Riyan Parag has played 47 matches in the Indian Premier League for Rajasthan Royals so far, amassing 522 runs and claiming four wickets.
