West Indies batter Kyle Mayers left everyone stunned in the first T20I against Australia being played at the Carrara Oval after he hit a monstrous 105-meter six off the bowling of Cameron Green.
The West Indies arrived in Australia this week and were forced to make a late change to the squad when Shimron Hetmyer missed a rescheduled flight and was replaced by Shamarh Brooks.
Australia skipper Aaron Finch won the toss and opted to bowl against the West Indies.
Mayers top-scored with 39 runs with five fours and 1 six, while Odean Smith with 27 was the only other batter to go past 20 runs as the West Indies posted 145/9 in 20 overs. Josh Hazlewood took 3/35, while Mitchell Starc and Pat Cummins picked two wickets each also.

Mayers got one ball in his arc in the fourth over of the innings, bowled by Cameron Green. The ball was pitched slightly short on the off but that was enough for Mayers to shift on the back foot and punch it over the cover region. Such was the power that the ball flew into the second tier of the stands.

Also sharing his joy at watching such a brilliant shot in T20Is was Aakash Chopra.
