The Trinbago Knight Riders' (TKR) captain Kieron Pollard once again showed why he is considered one of the true greats of the T20 game as he not only contributes with the bat and the ball but is also an excellent fielder anywhere in the field.
Everyone has seen how great Pollard is at the boundary where he utilizes his tall height to great advantage by plucking impossible-looking catches at the boundary ropes.
And something similar was seen when TKR clashed with Saint Lucia Kings in the ongoing CPL 2022 tournament. The former West Indies captain took the catch on the fifth ball of the final over of the innings and it left everyone in awe.
Alzarri Joseph hit Jayden Seales’ short ball over long-on where Pollard was stationed. The tall cricketer timed his jump to perfection and took a one-handed stunner. However, knowing that his momentum would take him over the boundary ropes, Pollard let go of the ball as he touched the ground.
He then came back inside the field of play and caught the ball once again to complete the catch.
Here is the video of the stunning catch by Kieron Pollard:
Saint Lucia Kings posted 143/9 batting first with Roshan Primus top-soring with 38 to his name, while Akeal Hossein took four wickets for the Knight Riders. In reply, Tion Webster’s 58 helped the TKR to chase down the target with three wickets in hand and four balls to spare. Tim Seifert also played a crucial 34-run knock.
