Indian cricket fraternity shares their celebration of India’s 75 years of Independence

India is celebrating its 76th Independence Day.

Celebration of India's Independence Day in Red Fort, Delhi | GettyIndia is celebrating its 76th Independence Day today, August 15, 2022, but this year is extremely different as it is the special celebration of 75 years of freedom which has been dubbed “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav”.  

India gained its Independence from the British on August 15, 1947, after more than 200 years of occupation. It is an occasion of joy and pride. And on the other hand, it also reminds everyone that the country is indebted to all those people who lost their lives to gain independence for us from the British.

To celebrate this special day, the government of India also started a campaign Har Ghar Tiranga movement, encouraging all citizens of the country to fly a national flag in their homes.

Showing their love for the country, the Indian cricket fraternity took to Twitter in order to wish the entire country on this proud occasion.
