The festival is celebrated by Hindus everywhere in the world, but the theme is popular across the world and now everyone seems to be catching on to the vibe of Holi.

The celebrations start on the night before with the Holika Dahan, where people perform rituals and pray before a bonfire, signifying the killing of Holika, the sister of the demon king Hiranyakashipu. The next morning is celebrated as Dhulivandan or the colorful Holi when people apply colors on one another and have fun.

People visit relatives and neighbors and savor sweets and Holi delicacies. Children have fun using water and colors.
