India leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal on Thursday (February 10) reacted to the viral video featuring Rohit Sharma from the second ODI against West Indies. Rohit was caught on stump mic yelling at Chahal for being dull on the field.
They were not strong words, but surely the captain was not happy with Chahal being lethargic and he wanted him to be active. Rohit was setting the field and he asked Chahal what had happened before telling him to go to his position fast.
"Peecha jhaa. "Kya hua tereko? Bhaag kyun nahi raha hai theek se? Chal udhar bhaag (What happened to you? Why aren't you running properly? Go there)," Rohit told Chahal, as caught on the stump mic.
The official Twitter account of Mumbai Indians (MI) posted the video and Chahal responded to it saying, "captain ka hukum sarankhon par", expressing respect towards his skipper. However, MI later deleted the video.
Here is Chahal's tweet:
The leg-spinner was Player of the Match in the first ODI after picking up four wickets. He bagged only one wicket in the second ODI, but it didn't affect India's chances of winning as they secured the series with a 44-run win.
