Indian cricket team members were seen in high spirits on New Year's eve after clinching a historic win at Centurion on the previous day to end 2021 on a happy note. It was an year that saw the World no.1 Test side win a total of 8 Tests, including four away in SENA countries.
Starting with the magnificent series win in Australia, India went on to beat England (3-1) and New Zealand (1-0) at home, and lead England (2-1) and South Africa (1-0) away currently. The only disappointment for the team undoubtedly was the World Test Championship final which they lost to New Zealand in what was otherwise an unforgettable year for the Virat Kohli-led side.
The Indian team is presently staying at the Irene Country Lodge in Pretoria in a bio-secure environment amidst Omicron concerns prevailing in the country and worldwide.
With there being a short break of three days between the Test matches, the players and support staff let their hair down and were seen enjoying the night to the fullest in each other's company. Few of the players were also joined by their families.
