Fraser-McGurk soared in the night sky like an eagle to catch the ball in one hand | GettyThe fielding in the T20 age of cricket is getting to insane levels with cricketers being tremendously fit and coaches working on new and improved ways to stop the ball from crossing the boundary and preparing fielders to take impossible-looking catches.

One-handed catches at boundary or players catching the ball just near the rope, tossing it in air, and coming back inside the field of play to complete the catch, something that was awe-inspiring 3-4 years back, has become a norm now.

Despite this overdose of fielding marvels, we still see something new and improved and in a match between Adelaide Strikers and Melbourne Renegades in the ongoing BBL 2021 tournament, Melbourne Renegades’ Jake Fraser-McGurk took an insane one-handed blinder near the boundary which left the crowd in shock and awe.

The 19-year-old player threw himself up in the air and plucked the ball from thin air to the amazement of commentators and fans alike. The catch was of Strikers’ opener Jake Weatherald, who had smoked spinner Zahir Khan towards the mid-wicket boundary, but the ball was intercepted by Fraser-McGurk in a superhero way.
