Former India cricketer Wasim Jaffer came up with a funny suggestion for Team India which could end their wait for an ICC trophy. He posted a picture of cricket great Sachin Tendulkar playing for India in the 1990s sporting a yellow-colored jersey.

Jaffer pointed out the pattern of teams in yellow kits winning the cricket tournaments lately. Chennai Super Kings emerged as the IPL 2021 title winners, before the Australian cricket team, another team with a yellow kit, lifting the T20 World Cup 2021 trophy.

Now even the Tamil Nadu cricket team, who also have a yellow kit, won the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy beating Karnakata on the last ball of the match. Shahrukh Khan had smashed a six when they needed five runs off the final delivery.

"Seeing teams in yellow winning trophies, time to bring this jersey back? #INDvNZ #T20WorldCup," wrote Jaffer on Twitter.

India were eliminated in the Super 12 stage of the recently concluded T20 World Cup 2021, after winning only three matches which weren't enough as New Zealand won four and Pakistan won five matches in their group.
