India's veteran spinner Harbhajan Singh named his all-time T20 playing eleven which included stars of the T20 format, but India captain Virat Kohli couldn't find a spot. Harbhajan left out Kohli from his all-time XI and picked former India skipper MS Dhoni as captain.
Apart from captaincy, Harbhajan also gave Dhoni the wicket-keeping role despite having England's Jos Buttler in the side. Dhoni had led India to a T20 World Cup title win in the inaugural tournament.
Harbhajan picked Rohit Sharma for the opening spot along with West Indies explosive batter Chris Gayle, and Buttler at number 3 in the batting order. "He is a very reliable batter and someone who can control the game once he gets set,” he said on the English batter.
Shane Watson, who's also a dangerous batter at the opening position, was picked in Harbhajans's all-time XI but as a number 4 batter. “Being an all-rounder, he has won many matches through his batting ability and has won games with the ball as well,” he added.
While Dhoni was given the No.6 batting spot, Harbhajan named South Africa's great AB de Villiers for the number 5 position. West Indian all-rounders Dwayne Bravo and Kieron Pollard were picked by Harbhajan for the next two positions.
"The batting order can be altered and Pollard could be moved up and down the order depending on the needs of the side. Any T20 team is incomplete without Pollard,” he said.
The bowling attack included the deadly duo of Lasith Malinga and Jasprit Bumrah, along with mystery spinner Sunil Narine.
