Pakistan's former cricketer Waqar Younis left everyone in splits with his brutal honesty during a talk show on Pakistan's TV channel. Wasim Akram, Wahab Riaz, and Misbah-ul-Haq were also present in the show and they couldn't stop laughing.

During the show, a fan asked if Ifthikar Ahmed, Sahibzada Farhan, Kamran Ghulam, and Saud Shakeel will be a good replacement for Shoaib Malik and Mohammad Hafeez after their retirement. Responding to the question, Waqar said Ifthikar is of the same age as Malik and Hafeez, who are around 40.

"After Shoaib Malik and Mohammad Hafeez's retirements, do you think Ifthikar, Sahibzada Farhan, Kamran Ghulam, and Saud Shakeel will be good enough to replace them," the talk show host shared the fan query.

Waqar straightforwardly replied, "I think Ifthikar is probably, the same age as Malik." When he saw everyone laughing, the ex-Pakistan bowling coach tried to cover it up. "I believe if you are fit, and if you can play, you should carry on playing," he later added.

Iftikhar is 31-year-old and he has played 3 Tests, 7 ODIs, and 13 T20I matches for Pakistan. He made his international debut against England in 2015 in an ODI match at Abu Dhabi.
