India cricketer Dinesh Karthik on Thursday (October 28) took to social media to share the good news of him becoming a father. He and his wife Dipika Pallikal Karthik have been blessed with two baby boys. 

Karthik posted family photos on Twitter and wrote, "And just like that 3 became 5 Dipika and I have been blessed with two beautiful baby boys Kabir Pallikal Karthik Zian Pallikal Karthik and we could not be happier". He married Deepika, a squash player for India, in 2015.

Ex-India batter Wasim Jaffer congratulated the couple and sent his blessings to the newborn babies. He also jokingly put in Sunil Gavaskar's famous lines in commentary while congratulating them.

"Like a true batsman DK converted one into two ???? Congratulations to both of you. And lots of love and blessings to the little ones," Jaffer wrote.

Gavaskar usually praises a batter when they convert one run into two while running between the wickets.
