Saint Lucia Kings, captained by Faf du Plessis clashed with St Kitts and Nevis Patriots, led by Dwayne Bravo had clashed on Saturday in one of the most entertaining encounters of the ongoing CPL 2021 tournament.
Faf du Plessis’ Saint Lucia Kings team batted first after losing the toss and the captain hit 120* in 60 balls which was his highest T20 score and third highest individual score in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL).
Saint Lucia Kings got off to a flying start as openers Andre Fletcher and Faf du Plessis ensured they batted through the Powerplay to reach 71-0. Du Plessis continued with his assault making 120* with 13 fours and 5 sixes.
He also added 124* runs for the 3rd wicket with Roston Chase, who made 64* in 31 balls with 7 fours and 3 sixes. In the end, the Kings ended up making 224/2 in 20 overs.
Dwayne Bravo’s St Kitts and Nevis Patriots only managed 124 runs with Evin Lewis making 73 in 42 balls and lost the match by exactly 100 runs.
However, Dwayne Bravo known to be a huge entertainer, showed his singing skills at the toss as he was seen singing “We are Chennai boys and making all the noise wherever we go" after winning the toss. This led to his Chennai Super Kings’ teammate Faf du Plessis joining him in the song.
