ENG v IND 2021: Ravi Shastri’s lateral flow test returns positive; three other support staff members in isolation

Other members of the Indian contingent tested negative and allowed at the Oval.

B Arun and R Sridhar along with physio Nitin Patel put into isolation | TwitterThe Indian team came to the Oval ground without their main support staff members on day 4 of the ongoing fourth Test against England. This was due to India head coach Ravi Shastri’s lateral flow test coming positive for the COVID-19 virus on Saturday evening in London.

This has resulted in him, along with three other support staff members including bowling coach B Arun, fielding coach R Sridhar and physiotherapist Nitin Patel being put into isolation for precautionary measures.
