The India off-spinner had praised England women opener Wyatt’s brilliant 89 off 56 balls that helped England register a series-clinching victory over India in the third T20I.

Furthermore, Ashwin wished Wyatt for England women’s upcoming series against the New Zealand women’s team. He tweeted, “Thank you and good luck with the kiwis.

And Danielle Wyatt kindly replied, “thank you Ash!! Enjoy.

R Ashwin was amongst wickets as he picked up 7 for Surrey in the county championship match against Somerset including a haul of 6/27 in the second innings. He will now join the rest of the Indian squad in Durham, where they are slated to play a three-day warm-up match starting from July 20.
